Yalda Night is a Persian celebration which is celebrated on the last night of autumn to commemorate the beginning of winter. There are a lot of family traditions over this night. Families usually gather and have loads o f foods and snacks such as watermelon, pomegranate and nuts. They recite Hafez Divine and wish each other well. The young and children are sometimes dressed in red or green costumes.
